Wellsboro Borough is Hiring a POLICE OFFICER Near Wellsboro, PA

The Borough of Wellsboro is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer.

The application may be obtained at the Wellsboro Borough office located at 14 Crafton Street, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania 16901 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The application submission deadline will be 2:00 p.m. on May 13, 2024.Applicants who meet the general qualifications will be required to take a physical agility test and a written and oral examination. The date and time of the physical agility, written and oral examinations will be announced after the application deadline.

Other information regarding the job requirements is available at the Borough office. These requirements include but are not limited to: U.S. Citizen; high school diploma or equivalency; must be twenty-on (21) years of age; good mental and physical condition capable of successfully passing a medical, physical and psychological evaluation; must be able to pass a physical agility test, written exam and oral examination; PA driver’s license; must have completed Act 120 training and passed the state exam at time of appointment, and must be able to meet the civil service and state certification requirements.
